    Spotify

    Aug 25, 2010

First you had Napster.. then there were a lot of legal alternatives like iTunes.. but now there is Spotify!

Spotify is a service that offers you access to a huge database of music by paying a monthly fixed fee.

At this moment they have 3 products available. The first one is their “Open” subscription. It’s free, and allows you to listen to all the music available in their database, but with a maximum of 20 hours per month and includes ads!

The second subscription is named “Unlimited“. It offers the same things as Spotify Open, but with 2 extra benefits: Unlimited listening and no ads!

Then we have “Premium“, which is the third and last one. It has the same things as the products mentioned above, but includes higher quality audio (320 Kbit instead of 160 Kbit), listening to music on your smartphone, offline mode (meaning you can listen to music without being connected to the internet) and much more!

I’d recommend you to take a look at their product comparison page to see what you can expect from them!

    Great off-site backup solution!

    Apr 4, 2010

Until a couple of months ago I used to make backups of my data on an external harddrive.

Recently I found out about Mozy. Mozy is an affordable way to make off-site backups of your valuable data.

By installing an application on your PC or Mac, it allows you to make incremental backups of your data to Mozy’s servers, which are located in Europe and America. This way your data is always safe, even if your harddrive crashes or even worse, your house catches fire.

Best of all, there is no limit on how big your backups are. Even if your harddrive is like 2 TB, it’s all being backed up without having to pay for extra server storage.

How much will it cost you? A monthly subscription is available for $4.95 a month, but if you decide to get an annual or biennial subscription, you will get 1 or 3 months for free.

Mozy is owned and operated by EMC, a Fortune 500 listed company.

If you click on the link below, and enter SAVE10 as a promo code, you will get 10% off at checkout!

Click here to sign up for Mozy, or to find out about what they can do for you.
